NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS)

Modern College of Pharmacy, Nigdi always insist on use
of Pharmacy Profession for social development & personality
development of student through social tranformations.
NSS is the medium for our Pharmacy students to reach
to the society & use their professional skills for social
development. Our college has started NSS programme (
under Pune University, Pune) in the academic year 2002-03
with a unit of 100 volunteers.70 boys and 30 girls are
enrolled under NSS every year.

Activities |
Acivities are carried out by two ways:
I) Regular Activities:
Each volunteer has to complete
120 hours.Activities like vaccination programmes, blood
donation camp, tree plantation, Swacchata Abhiyan, blood
group detection camp, and other activities which develop
team work.& national integrity.
II) Special Winter Camp:
Special Winter Camp of 10 days is arranged on every
year with aim of social surveys, water literacy, disaster
management, health awareness camp, plantation, cultural
orientation of villagers etc.

•Visited and given help in the form of sanitary
